Trevi Fountain

The Trevi Fountain is one of the most iconic symbols of Rome and one of the most famous fountains in the world. Built in the 18th century and designed by Nicola Salvi, it is a masterpiece of the late Baroque. In the center stands the figure of Oceanus on a chariot pulled by sea horses, surrounded by tritons and cliffs. Tradition has it that throwing a coin into the fountain ensures a return to Rome.
